Ashok Patel
CEO & President

Ashok Patel is the Chief Executive Officer and President of AP Aviation. During his career spanning more than 45 years in the commercial aviation industry, he has specialized in Aircraft Technical services and Asset Management. In 1996 Mr. Patel established AP Aviation and worked as a Director of Technical Services at ATASCO leasing. He has experience, knowledge and skills in General administration of B727, 737, 747, 757, 767, 777 and fleet of Airbus series aircrafts A300, 318, 319, 320, 330, 340, and Bombardier jets CRJ 200, 700 and 900 Aircraft Maintenance, Asset Management, deliveries and acceptance of aircraft. He manages Aircraft annual Audits, aircraft deliveries and acceptance from start to finish. Also, he has organized and managed engine overhauls at various repair shops, and has overseen major aircraft checks for over a period of over last 30 years. He has earned a reputation for being at the forefront of aircraft lease management and negotiations. He has also provided expert advice to Finance Lease Risk Management teams.

Prior to this, Mr. Patel was the Director of Engineering and Quality Assurance for Nation Air, Canada, a company he joined in 1989. In this position, he was responsible for Engineering & Quality Assurance activities of 36 aircraft. He was responsible for internal & external audits of aircraft along with the setup of an effective system for technical records and financial budgeting of “C” and “D” Checks. He also organized and maintained an effective Engineering and Inspection department. His responsibilities included the audits and reviews of all aircraft that joined company’s fleet. As well he wrote new maintenance programs and kept them updated based upon aircraft reliability reports; Repair, Maintain, Overhaul and Modifications. Mr.Patel managed Cargo Conversion of Boeing 737, 747, 757, 767 in addition to maintenance of C and D Check of MC Donald Douglas DC-8 aircraft and F-100. Additionally he did aircraft acceptance and delivery flights after Maintenance. He has a Master’s degree in Aero-mechanical engineering and holds a Canadian system and Structure License as well as FAA A&P License. During this term he operated a FAA approved ODA. Mr. Ashok Patel can also provide FAA DAR services.

Naresh Arora
Vice President -Technical

Naresh Arora has an MBA in aviation with ICAO Type II License and accounts for building and motivating successful teams in technical services, production planning, supplies/logistics, airworthiness and engineering business contracts. With 25 plus years’ of experience in Aviation Asset Management, his knowledge in fixed wing aircraft and helicopters is a significant asset to AP Aviation. Naresh is a capable, result oriented manager with experience in all phases of airline operations, leading teams and successfully increasing efficiency and productivity whilst reducing cost and inefficiencies. Furthermore, Naresh has the ability to keep a level head at all times in order to nurture and grow businesses, as well as delivering new innovative solutions to the most challenging of circumstances, thus successfully helping define company direction and achieving goals and optimizing business. In addition, he is expert in fleet planning and their management, asset management during lease period i.e. aircraft hangar refurbishment to FAA/EASA standards
Naresh is working as a Vice President of Technical Services leading a team of consultants; managing “C” checks, aircraft delivery / redelivery on behalf of lessors/owners and operators. These services include technical records, contract negotiations with MRO’s and financial recoveries from the Lessee on behalf of the Lessor for AP Aviation Management Consultant.
Moreover, Naresh has worked with aircraft Lessor’s such as PLM, Boeing Capital, ILFC, GECAS, B&B, CIT, MCAP, AWAS, Macquarie, DSF, Bavaria, Tombo, Avolon, ALC, Boullioun and Engine leasing companies such as SES, Willis, ELFC, and P&W. In his last role with SpiceJet, he worked as a Senior General Manager Engineering and Procurement, and held a role of Continuing Airworthiness Manager for a fleet of 35 Boeing aircraft and 12 Q400’s from different Lessor’s around the globe. Naresh has also held a position as a Quality Control Manager with Sahara Airlines, leading cross-functional teams with representatives from manufacturer, customer services, technical services, quality, IT, sourcing, accounts receivable and logistics ensuring timely and effective support for a fleet of twenty seven (27) B737 aircraft including BBJ and Seven (7) CRJ200’s, in which all lease maintenance requirements were met whilst maintaining the assets value. Naresh has also negotiated purchase/sale and leaseback of new and used aircraft from Boeing, Bombardier and finalized BFE, Warranties and Credits with vendors. He has been responsible for negotiating long term contracts with Airframe, Engine & APU MRO such as KLM, Boeing IMM, Triumph, Honeywell, GE, MAS, Turkish Technique, JorAMCo, and GMF

Anil Patel
Director Technical Services

Anil Patel is the Director of Technical services of AP Aviation. During a career span of more than 25 years in the commercial aviation industry, he has specialized in the auditing of technical records prior to acceptance of aircraft return from Lessee, Monitoring, Maintenance Repair, Major Overhaul and modification and planning of Boeing B-747, DC-9, B-727, B-737 Series aircrafts. He is an expert in preparing aircraft annual maintenance budgets and negotiates lease agreements with customers and looks after the financial aspect of the term of the agreements. During his role as Quality Assurance Manager with Fortune Air Canada, he performed internal and external audits of imported aircrafts and vendors including maintenance, major modifications, and overhaul of Boeing B-747,767, 757, and Douglas DC-8, perform A, B, and C checks, wing removal installation, hot section inspection, and structural modifications. Anil Patel also maintained control of technical records, inventory control, and assigned jobs on DHC-6, PC-6, C-206, and C-130 Hercules aircraft. He has done his B.Sc from India and holds a Canadian License, a Swiss CAA License & FAA A&P License.

Paul Vanderroest
Director Maintenance Planning

PAUL J. VANDERROEST started his career in 1984 as a maintenance planner with Nation Air. He has been involved in planning & monitoring C and D Checks, major repairs, modifications, CPCP and SSID Programs to ensure that technical and regulatory requirements are met. He is experienced on managing technical records, hard time & OCCM components, as well as engines & landing gear LLPs. During his tenure with MESA AIRLINES he was involved with the inspection of Aircraft and their Engines; auditing of technical Records for lease acceptance and delivery, aircraft maintenance programs, aircraft Importation and their phasing into Airline’s Maintenance Program. In his 28 years of Aviation industry he obtained experience on B737, B747, B757, B767, A319, A320, A321, DC-8, Citation 1, HS748, Jet Stream 32, King Air, Beech 99, Cheyenne PA31, DHC-6/-3/-2, DC3, Canso, Cessna 402/ 310/185/150, Bombardier CRJ 200/ 700/ 900. He is experienced in handling lease returns of Bombardier aircraft, including the audits of AD, LG and Engine traceability.

Amrish Patel
Director Finance

Amrish Patel is Director of Finance at AP Aviation with an M.B.A. in Marketing. His responsibility includes management and delivery of the business/development plan. He is a professional with over 8 years of experience in Sales and Business administration of Financial, Banking & Insurance Services. He has a proven track record of building a dynamic sales team & Business management. He has worked as Senior Relationship Manager with First Gulf Bank, UAE with specialization in Sales of Investments, Insurance and Islamic Investments products. He has handled various corporate accounts and successfully launched Islamic Investment & Islamic child Savings Plan. He has also worked as Relationship Manager with Standard Chartered Bank & GE Money India.
